We were in town for a Brewers game. This place was about the closest to the ballpark since there are no bars/restaurants within walking distance of ballpark.

We went for the first time on a Friday. The waitress was very friendly and explained there were NO MENUS. You just tell them what you want and they make it. (Prices??) Or you can look in the display case of things they have and they can use what’s in there. We chose a walleye fish fry. Pricey at 24.95 each, but it had very generous fish portions that looked wonderful. Unfortunately, looks are deceiving. The fish had NO SEASONING or salt at all…. and every single bite was full of BONES. The excuse for the bones was that it was fresh fish and of course it had bones in it. WHAT?? That was the first fish fry I have ever gone to where I was afraid of my food! We expressed some concern over the bones and they brought us a small dish of perch in which I found to have some scales. I don’t think the fish is the issue. Yeah for being fresh! Boo for the person preparing it!

Stopped in before a Brewers game. Savannah was our bar tender and did amazing! The owner and his son were working the kitchen and the food was awesome. Very cool, classic bar to have some drinks at. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Milwaukee.

Fantastic experience. Stopped before going to a Brewer game. What you need to know is that the menu is “open”. You order what you would like from the counter. I had a rare blue cheese burger with raw onion. Perfectly cooked. Also had oysters and a Bloody Mary.

After moving to MKE we learned about this location because of its ties to the movie. We looked at the website and were confused by the menu/non menu concept. After deciding to just give it a shot…

The vibe was fun and relaxed and they even greeted me as I walked thru the door with an studio audience applause. There’s no menu. Just tell the cook what you want and they’ll make it.

First time trying. No menu everything is either listed on a board or you pick from a deli style window which ranges from crab legs to ribeyes. We had the steak sandwich and a mix between regular scallops and bacon wrapped scallops. Both were amazing but that might of been one of the best steak sandwiches we have ever had. Would recommend to anyone and we will be coming back.
