290 Maine St is a fantastic spot in downtown Norway. We hosted a welcome party for our wedding in August and it was perfect. Ryan and the whole team at 290 Maine provided above-and-beyond service throughout the whole event. Our guests were raving about how kind and accommodating the staff was.

We had a wonderful experience here. The food was wonderful the service was incredible. They were patient, helpful, and accommodating to a food allergy. It made us feel welcome and allowed us to trust and enjoy the meal. Thank you!

We visited this little restaurant twice. The first time I ordered the lobster roll with both melted butter Mayo on the side. It was delicious! Their fries are some of the best I’ve ever had. Second visit was delicious burger with blue cheese. It was awesome. The staff here is super friendly. The place itself is clean. There is an outdoor area to eat at also.

The food is terrific and Brooke is so fantastic and friendly! We have only been here twice; the other week and a couple years ago. Brooke waited on us both times. My memory is generally pretty terrible so it definitely says something that I recalled her waiting on us two years ago. The drinks and support staff are A+ as well. Looking forward to next time!

Went with the wife for dinner. Small but quality draft list. Started with the fried cheese curd and buffalo ranch dip app special. It was very enjoyable. I ordered a burger and rings. The burger was pretty standard but underseasoned. The rings were nice but also need salt (easily remedied.) My wife ordered the fish and chips. The haddock filet was quite large and looked terrific. Unfortunately the thick batter while crispy on the outside was soggy on the inside. The fries were creamy but a bit soggy as well. Service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was nice but as others have noted the music was loud to the point where cross table communication required shouting. Dude, leave the Marshal stack at home.

Food was really something else, like a flavor explosion each time. Loved it! A little heavy on the salt and garlic for your average person but personally I liked it. One thing I will say is the portions were small for the price even despite that caveat of a flavor explosion, not much steak on the 20$ steak tips for example. Still worth it, especially given the decor and the atmosphere.

My grandparents own a home on the lake up here. My husband and I love exploring the town of Norway. This was our second time at 290 Maine St. It was as good as we remembered from last year! We had the fried pickles, bao buns (change weekly), Bleu and Bacon burger, and fish & chips between three of us. Everything was incredible, and we were all super happy with our meals. The drinks were great too! We love that we can sample different beers from breweries in the area. We already cannot wait to come back here next year!

i have eaten here and ordered take-out, at least 15+ times, and have had both good and bad “experiences” – I normally try to give good reviews, no matter the experience… but i feel like i’ve wasted money- on more than one occasion. Tonight I ordered Fish & Chips- and im more than disappointed, to say the least! I have never seen fish so over cooked! it was so crunchy that i couldn’t eat much of it. and for the “actual fish” (what was left of it)was stuck to the breading and tasted like the batter and grease, rather than haddock !! Tonight i went out of my comfort zone tonight beccause the last time I ordered my “Usual” (pulled pork sand.) it was waaay overcooked and pretty skimpy, compared to previous times.- i ended up eating just the french fries, because well…. have you ever tried eating a burnt pork sandwich??
