My opinion only, what a shame this place could be. Start off they were out of the wine my wife wanted. Our server took our order. We ordered the fish and chips with coleslaw. When brought to the table she said I forgot to tell you we were out of slaw I said you are kidding me. She just said sorry. The fish plate is 21.00 with two fish filets and fries. The fries were cold and she held one to see that they were. She asked if we wanted new ones but the fish would be cold by then. What a disaster. The 8 top next to us had so many issues. There response to all the mistakes were a free desert that we declined. We need to say the only things I would change is the food management and the manager on the floor that never showed they face and apologized for this situation. We will never return.

Our food was fabulous(potstickers, chicken salad, and wagyu burger were spot on) but the experience was detracted from by our poor service. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and irritated when the restaurant wasn’t even half full and was shared by another waitress who seemed delightful. Ours ignored us for the first 15 minutes and then was put off that we wanted an appetizer first instead of ordering our food and drinks all at once. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, but then we watched her yell at the bartender in the middle of the dining area and then another one of her tables walked out after waiting 20min without even seeing her. We thoroughly enjoyed the food but seeing as this is the second time we’ve had poor service, we most likely won’t be back unless we just order to go… hopeful to here in the future they turn it around.

We made reservations for the monthly Sunday brunch. Our table was set and ready for us at arrival. Our Server greeted us quickly to take our drink order. Everyone was very pleased with their food, drinks and service!! We can’t wait for our reservations at the Chef’s table later this month for Date Night!

I was invited to have lunch with a friend, it was my first time there. I enjoyed every bit of it. The service was great, the atmosphere was perfect, we were able to talk and able to hear each other because of the atmosphere. The food was AMAZING, we got it in a timely manner also. I would highly recommend this place and I will be going back with my husband.

A very lovely spot downtown Martinsville. If you are looking for a delicious and fresh meal in a modern atmosphere, this is the place. Our waitress did a fantastic job. Service was quick and with a smile. Well done decor inside.

We may not have chosen best time to give this place a try. Limited “Derby” themed menu and were told they were out of Fried chicken dinner and bisque options. My husband is a big, muscular guy and meat and potatoes eater.

Service was excellent. The atmosphere is very brick, iron, and edison bulb pretty. The food was not great. The menu is on the smaller side and I understand for specialty, however everything desperately needed salt, and seemed very generic. The fish and chips were good. The wagyu burger was undoubtedly the most disappointing as it looked fantastic, but it was the most plain and flavorless thing I’ve ever consumed. Potstickers were definitely out of the freezer section. Appropriately salted food is a gourmet tool. It’s an easy fix unless you’re catering to old people, and don’t wish to elevate yourself. The owner is incredibly catty when it comes to reviews being at all critical about their restaurant. You should read a few. Welcome criticism. It makes you better.

Great bistro food – worth a drive from Bloomington. The Cuban sandwich and Wagyu burger were both excellent! And the truffle parmesean fries were the best I have had in a long time – double fried, it seemed, with a perfect crunch. Surprisingly good restaurant.

I just stopped in for lunch at this hidden classy gem on the town square in Martinsville. W.O.W. The restaurant features beautiful exposed brick, industrial lighting, arched doorways, and hardwood floors. There is even a room available to reserve for large parties that have sliding barn doors for privacy. The bar offers an extensive list of both classic and seasonal cocktails (aka “Giggle Water”). The seasonal hot totties sound amazing, but I didn’t sample them since it was the middle of a work day. Side note #1… there is no wi-fi offered, and I think the building was interfering with my Verizon hot spot reception. I was really excited to see that there are power outlets available every few feet so I could plug in my tablet though.
