We took a gamble on 2 Home Cooks despite some poorer reviews online that are older. We opted for delivery and maybe that’s where we went wrong? I ordered the Buiscuts and Gravy and was disappointed. For a 3 dollar upcharge to add a scrambled egg, I would have hoped that there would be more substance to a breakfast meal costing $16 that doesn’t include tax or gratuity. Adding in those factors this meal comes to about $20. The photos displayed on the website of their buttermilk Buiscuts makes them look more appetizing than they are. Unaware of if their recipe has changed or not for the buiscuts but I didn’t get a light fluffy one as I was hoping. Instead I got a very tough exteriored buiscut that was lacking any flavor. The gravy itself was pretty good.

What was better, the food or the service? I’m not really sure but both were outstanding. The vibe is very traditional family owned breakfast/lunch joint but they use an iPad to show you the specials. Super neat! Honestly, not a bad thing to say. I’m looking forward to going back.

If you wanna get taken to cleaners for small portions and average food this is your place. The picture is a 6$ dipping cup of “side” of sausage gravy.

Words do not even come close to describing how wonderful this place is. It puts all other breakfast places to shame. Their pancakes are straight up heavenly and their Irish Benny is the best I’ve ever had. They have incredible corned beef hash but their bacon is always delicious and cooked to perfection! It’s always SO hard to choose. The staff is so friendly and personable. They are so good about keeping your coffee mug full (they even offer multiple options like dark roast and Carmel vanilla) and they offer to send you home with a cup to go! Talk about above and beyond. This place is the definition of 5 stars.

I’m not arbitrarily giving this place a 5 star rating. The food is made to order. On the spot with homemade local ingredients. Good coffee. Outdoor seating. Bar seating in front of cooks.

First time having duck bacon – it’s pricey, but worth trying! Irish Eggs Benedict was prepared very well. I understand the corned beef is slow cooked for 12 hours. Great selection of breakfast and lunch options. Very friendly and attentive service from the cooks to the waitresses. Prices are higher than what I would expect, but the quality matches.

Had breakfast yesterday here and, as always, the food and the service was top notch! It was so good I had to go BACK for lunch!

Just moved to the area, waited 50 minutes for subpar food; overcooked eggs, cold undercooked potatoes and toast, frozen food items: “chicken”. Food prices are too high for the poor quality. I usually eat everything or take it home. Not this time, food left in the plate for the restarant to trash. I had seen several other parties that had also left food on their plate and hardly anyone took a to go containet.

Food and service was great… If you’re going there to use your taste dining out deals purchase a while ago. Don’t bother, they don’t take them anymore…

Been told to come here a lot. Today was our first day eating in. I ordered banana/chocolate chip crepes and would give them a 10/10. My kids loved the hot cocoa w/whip cream. The home fries were undercooked and the price for 2 slices of bacon seemed a little high. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Wait time was quite a bit longer than we were told but luckily it was a sunny day to wait outside. Overall a cute little place but not sure if we’ll be back again or not.
