During my recent visit to 1855 Saloon and Grill, my family and I had the pleasure of experiencing a satisfying dining experience. To kick off our meal, we indulged in the spinach and artichoke dip, which proved to be a delightful appetizer. After our Fall Day out at the pumpkin patch with the kids, this was a great stop for a late lunch. We sat inside and it was comfortable along with being able to see the Sunday night football game. Our drinks were excellent, and the food was really good. Only down side was the Spinach dip with chips seemed a little cold. It still tasted really good, but I’m sure would have been even better if it was still hot. The rest of the food was delicious. Absolutely going to come back.

The service was great. The atmosphere was great. The food was good but not great. Went for fish fry. They only had two kinds of fish, Cod and trout. If they offered Perch more people would come. I had the Trout. It was overcooked as was everybody’s Cod. The price was high and the quality of the cooking should reflect that or the prices should come down.

I really wanted to like this place! The atmosphere when you walk in is awesome. But our overall experience just didn’t match. From the poorly made Old Fashion, to the wait for an outside table, only to be seated inside.

Josh the manager told our party of 4 retired couples he would not split bill for us. We had some difficulty getting the bill settled and told him so. Food was ok but not great. Prices are high. Server was nice . Manager told us his food and service was excellent and “we should go somewhere else in the future.”

Needs work. Get into the restaurant from the back maybe easier than from stairs at the front. Nice looking brick building. Cheers like bar atmosphere inside. Food orders got messed up. Bill was messed up. Food quality / quantity was disappointing for the cost. Tenderloin fajitas had bits of meat (that should have been slices). Queso was chalky. Salsa runny. Guacamole and nacho chips were good. $4 taco is tiny (street size smaller than a saucer). Mac and cheese comes in big bowl but isn’t filled enough for a guy. Ice cream drinks came in wine glasses for $10 each.

We had a Birthday dinner there on 5/21 with 8 people, and were dissappointed with the quality & price. Several of us had been there multiple times, but the prices have skyrocketed and quality has dropped! $35 for a small steak with no sides unless ypu pay another $7+ for rhem, each. The steak was nothing to brag about, and the shrimp scampi was the same, but atleast it came with a salad.

Our waitress was wonderful, the venue is beautiful, and the mains were delicious. I will say the side dishes definitely need some work. My chips and salsa were incredibly bland, but the fish tacos were delicious!
