This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Peninsula between San Francisco and San Jose. It is regularly super packed because it is so popular for the quality of the food. Most of the dishes are oriented around Szechuan and Hunan cuisine, but recently they introduced a few specialties from the Yunnan province. Today we had some of those Yunnan style dishes, and it was really special. The prices are reasonable for high-quality Chinese food – this is not a cheaper fast casual place like Panda. And of you order fish you will pay for good quality. This is a restaurant that is better enjoy it if you go with a group of people so that you can order more things and try a bit of everything. the only annoying thing about this place is that it is so popular that it sometimes requires a wait to get in, especially during popular dinner times. Generally, I would say it IS worth the wait – there is a reason that so many people from the area come here for dinner. Definitely a good spot to bring out of town guests too, though you should be thoughtful about whether you can handle spicy Chinese food. A pro tip is to park in the parking lot behind the restaurant not in front of the restaurant, which often gets full very quickly.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Bay area. They have an amazing beef pot, saliva chicken, and brown sugar mochi dessert. The flavors are complex and authentic in a clean upscale atmosphere. The only issue — the dessert came out with the appetizer (and the dessert tastes best served hot).

This place is for Yunnan authentic food. They just relocated from the old place on El Camino Real to here. Plenty of parking spots here. Great food and service. Will come back again to try Grilled Fish !!

This restaurant moved from El camino real to this place. This place used to be streetfood cafe which moved to different location in same complex. It was quit when I stopped by. It is a very nice and modern interior. I like this better than when it was at El camino. I ordered lunch special. I ordered Hunan beef. It comes with rice and pickle cabbage. The server warned me that it is spicy. It is interesting that they provide a tablet for you to browse the menu, but you can not order. You have to order inside using a different tablet. The menu is a bit different than the menu when it was at El camino. Some are still the same. One thing I really miss is the garlic pork belly appetizer. They don’t offer anymore.

First I would like say that I used to be a big fan of ping’s bistro. I visited its Fremont location and its el camino location multiple times in the past and I was always impressed with the quality and the flavor of the food there. When I knew that the el camino restaurant is moved to this location, I was excited because it is closer to where I live. And I love Hunan and Yunnan style food. We went on my dad’s birthday and we were totally disappointed with the experience.
